Waterfalls of Chiflon

It´s a chain of waterfalls that formed the currents of the san Vicente river, wherein is initial the waterfalls of el Suspiro, Ala de Angel, Arco iris, Quinceañera and the principal Velo de Novia of 120 meters of high same that fall formed pools naturals of waters of intensive blue color.

Flora and fauna.

Flora: in this site can be observade a great variety of species of orchids, bromelias, trees of sabino, trees of palomillo, chicozapote, cedar and mahagony trees.

Fauna: Among the wild fauna can be found in this zone species of iguanas, rabbits, armadillos, snakes and birds.

 Small Square: The Square is the meeting

 place to start the tour or take 

a little break taking 

advantage of the freshness offered by trees.

Craft sale: We have available several modules sales of handicrafts, souvenirs and clothing 

 typical of the region and the state of Chiapas.

Information module: The module information is in the square, there you serve with all your 

questions about the tour and information for the rental cabins.

Palapa Multipurpose: Proper for special events or business tourism, with capacity for 200 

people. Multipurpose palapa is ideal for meetings and while being in contact with nature, 

this palapa is located at the top aside RESTAURANTE PARAISO.

Bathrooms: For your convenience, the Center has several bathrooms with dressing rooms,

 located at various points downtown.

Parking: Arriving by car passing through the toll booth arrived to ample parking in front of 

the square.

VISIT TO THE WATERFALLS

Selling coconuts and sugarcane juice: At the beginning of the route you will find two 

modules in which you can cool off with a chilled coconut or sweeten your palate with a 

glass of sugarcane juice.

Visit to as waterfalls: It is a journey that takes about 60 minutes, because we have to stop 

and observe the main waterfalls and waterfalls to reach the largest waterfall "Velo de Novia”

 with a fall of over 120 meters high.

Palm shelter “palapas”: These palapas are located along the route, in them you can bring 

your food and have a good time while listening to the river crossing.

Cold Drinks: Along the route you will find a moment to rest and have a cold drink or a 

delicious fruit cocktail.

Visit the museum:

Room Environmental and Cultural Interpretation

In the Hall of Environmental Interpretation and Cultural; it´s a photo exhibition and Audio 

Visual Flora, fauna and history of the region, Excellent for school trips.

Iguanas observation:

In the ecotourism center there are several places where you can see iguanas 

in their habitat, it can see when they meet to eat fruits or vegetables Watchers center offer

 them. These areas are located, behind the museum and back projection audiovisual center,

 near to the river.

Visit the Waterfalls

During the tour of the river passage , we find several waterfalls , the first of it´s " El Suspiro " 

about 25 meters high , beyond the " Ala de Angel " appears , the second waterfall 

announced , about 60 meters high. And finally, after raising nearly a thousand steps, you 

reach the highest waterfall, "Velo de Novia” with a drop of over 120 meters high.

Swimming area:

Within the tour are the 700 meters of natural spa, we can enjoy the cool river water either

 to freshen up after travel or to throw a little dip.

Tirolesa: We have two tirolesas, the first is smaller located 300 meters above the walker,

 exclusive persons weighing less than 70kg. And the largest for adolescents and adults,

 the latter is located at the top of the trail, facing the waterfall " Velo de Novia "

The Waterfall chain Ecological Center the Chiflón, is located in the municipality of 
Tzimol Chiapas, Mexico. In this center you can enjoy and live amidst nature  
observing in detail the flora and fauna, a distance of 1268 meters.
