VOLCANO TACANA 

                          LOCATED:

It is located on the dividing line

between the Republic of Guatemala and Mexico.

It is the second highest volcano in the country 

(Vielman , s.f ) . Its crater is phreatic or

geiseriano (National Institute of Seismology,

Volcanology, Meteorology and Hydrology,

S. F.) type.

DESCRIPTION:

The apex is formed by capsule lava. 

The summit crater has a diameter of 

400 meters.The main rock is andesite top 

augite and hypersthene light colored. 

This volcano sits on a granite massif in 

what has been taken to designate the 

Sierra Madre.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

Wear light clothing with comfortable shoes to

walk along the banks of the volcano brings

water to avoid dehydration on the course.

FAUNA:

Some animals found in the area are: ocelot, collared

peccary, deer goat, cashew, green tucancillo the

quetzal, the peacock and the crested eagle

                            LOCATION:

Forward Ixchiguán , crosses left to Sibinal , place

 where the vehicle is left with a total of 65 kms . 

In dirt road from San Marcos.

 it is an active volcano

where at night you can see the beauty that has.

per perso:includes transportation from 

Tapachula to Chiquihuites,food, first aid kit , 

guide and explanation of the volcano and

preparation backpack. Children from 12 years.

 Hire advance at least three days before the

tours and bird watching.
