CAÑÓN DEL SUMIDERO
Description:
this a geological
fault that has formed over millions of years, within which is the Grijalva
River, which is considered one of the most spectacular of Mexico, its walls are
over 900m high and appreciate beautiful lands capes as the cave of colors and
waterfall.
Flora
and fauna:
the ceiba, the coyota, the roblar and the tepehuaje, you can enjoy the canyon
in all its splendor. Its jungle is medium and low, there are oaks and pasture,
has their habitat spider monkeys, anteaters, the curassow, crocodiles, and
other species such as alligators and some catfish. As well as jaguars, hawks,
herons, pelicans, and others.

-It’s 190 pesos for person. Older
than 4 years pay full ticket.
-The boats leave with a minimum group
of 12 people
-Special rates for groups of more
than 20 people.

How
to get there:
You can get there for
car taking the road from Tuxtla Gutierrez to the viewpoints of the Canyon. Also
at the Anthropology Museum you can take a collective viewpoint to take you to
Los Chiapa. If you would visit the Zoo Manuel Alvarez del Toro, which is on the
way.
Recommendation:
we
recommend you bring too many clothes, swimsuit and towel, comfortable shoes, a
heat, sunglasses, sun block, repellent of insects, camera, and extra money for
food and shopping.
